PUQUELDÓN AND ENVIRONS
Puqueldón includes the whole of Isla Lemuy. This area is rich in traditional culture especially that which finds expression in venerable wooden churches such as those of Aldachildo, Ichuac, Puchilco, Lincay, Liucura and Detif. The most widespread craftwork is basket weaving. Many traditional implements are still in daily use, such as water mills, carts, sledges and cider presses. The community possesses a net of rural roads, sealed and unsealed, which permit access to all areas. It is possible to go rapidly between the larger centres or linger on the back roads. |
