Call for proposals Who can propose a project?Every social organisation or institution that is located in the territorial jurisdition of BMCh, and whose initiatives fit our working vision. Which projects receive BMCh's finanial support? The ones that have been selected by the Board of Directors and include the following elements: Relevency: In accordance with BMCh's objectives. Replicability: Possibilities to implement the project elsewhere. Sustainability: Allows the long-term use of resources. Community's financial support: Because BMCh is community-oriented, initiatives supported by a community's financial resources will be preferred. Other financial support sources: BMCh values the financial support that comes from municipalities, private enterprises, public services, and other organisations. What is the financial support of BMCh? BMCh finances up to 50% of the projects, for a maximum of $ 500 US . How long do BMCh projects last? The projects should last no longer than one year. How does the local community participate in the project? The active participation of a community is essential for the success of BMCh projects. To insure the involvement of the community applying, BMCh asks for a document detailing how the community will participate; this document should be presented with the proposal. How does BMCh participate during the project's development? BMCh supervises the progress of the project through meetings, field visits, and technical support, in order to establish solid links with the participating communities. The results of the projects can be used as references to show the possibilities and success that can be obtained. When can we apply? It is possible for a communiy to apply during the calls for proposal that are held twice a year by BMCh. |
